How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Mitsubishi Outlander

To replace the engine oil and filter in a Mitsubishi Outlander, bring the engine to operating temperature, then turn it off and position the vehicle on a flat surface. Safely lift the car and place a container under the oil sump. Unscrew the drain plug and allow the used oil to fully drain, then reattach the plug, checking the condition of the gasket and replacing it if necessary. Remove the old oil filter with the appropriate tool and install the new one after lightly lubricating its gasket with clean oil. Pour the new lubricant through the filler neck, adhering to the quantity specified for the installed engine, check the level with the dipstick, and start the engine for a few seconds. Finally, check for leaks around the filter and drain plug, turn off the engine, wait a few minutes, and recheck the oil level, adding more if necessary.
