Replacing the Battery in a Key Remote for a Nissan Qashqai

Watch this video to see how to replace the battery in a key remote for a Nissan Qashqai. Take your ignition remote and remove the metal key. Once the metal key is removed, insert a screwdriver between the two parts of the plastic remote cover and twist it until the two covers separate. Use a small screwdriver to extract the flat battery, take a new one (same size and voltage) and replace it. Reassemble the key remote cover by pressing on it until you hear it click into place. Check the correct operation of the remote.
