Replacing Front Brake Pads on a Nissan X-Trail

This video demonstrates how to remove the front brake disc on a Nissan X-Trail. Position the car on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height for work. Unscrew the bolts with a socket wrench or air drill and remove the wheel. Then, begin unscrewing the bolts of the brake caliper, detaching it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads. Now, remove the caliper bracket and unscrew the bolts on the brake disc (using a Torx screwdriver). Pull the disc towards you to remove it from the hub. Apply grease to the bolts and prepare all parts for assembly. Refit the brake disc with all associated bolts, secure the caliper bracket to the disc along with the new pads, then mount the brake caliper, ensuring all bolts are tightened properly. Before refitting the wheel, bleed the brake caliper and tighten the bolt. Finally, refit the wheel with the bolts.
