MAP sensor position in the Nissan Navara 2.3 DCI engine

In this video, we see the position of the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor inside the engine compartment of the Nissan Navara 2.3 DCI: it is located right next to the diesel filter, under a tangle of pipes, not very easy to reach. To get there, we will have to remove various components. For now, let's just remember that the MAP sensor measures the air pressure in the engine intake manifold; it provides crucial data to the engine's electronic control unit to calculate the amount of fuel needed for optimal combustion, and helps regulate the air-fuel mixture, influencing fuel efficiency. We can suspect a malfunction when fuel consumption increases, the idle is irregular, emissions are excessive, and the engine light on the dashboard comes on.
