What to do if the AdBlue warning light stays on after refueling on Nissan/Dacia/Renault.

Let's see how to proceed when the AdBlue warning light stays on in a Blue dCi diesel engine from the Renault/Nissan group, after correctly refilling the AdBlue tank. We should wait a few minutes after filling the tank; it may take 5 to 10 minutes and driving for a few kilometers. If it doesn't work, we can try the method of forcing a sensor re-read: this doesn't work on all models (and indeed it didn't work on the car in the video). We turn on the ignition, open the AdBlue tank cap, add more AdBlue to "flood" the sensor, restart the engine, and wait for 2 to 3 minutes. Then we turn it off, close the cap, and try again. If it still doesn't work, a professional diagnostic tool is essential, along with a reset of the error codes from the control unit. Sometimes a software update is necessary (cost around 200 euros).
