How to Replace the EGR Valve in Nissan X-Trail

Model: Nissan X Trail T32, MK 3 - Years 2014-2023

To replace the EGR valve on a Nissan X-Trail 3, open the bonnet and locate the EGR valve connected between the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety. Remove any engine covers that obstruct access and disconnect the electrical connector of the valve, also detaching any connected pipes. Unscrew the bolts securing the valve to the engine and carefully remove it. Clean the contact surface, then position the new EGR valve with the correct gasket and screw in the bolts, tightening them evenly. Reconnect the electrical connector and pipes, reassemble the engine covers, reconnect the battery and start the engine to check for leaks or malfunctions.
