Learn how to disable traction control on the Nissan Juke II: from the instrument panel, navigate the menu using the control panel (which may be located on the steering wheel or dashboard depending on the version). Enter "settings" and then go to "system". From here, you can choose to enable or disable the traction control function. Disabling this function can be useful in certain extreme situations: if you are stuck in snow, mud, or sand, the TSC prevents the wheels from spinning enough to "dig" and get out, and by disabling it, the wheels can spin freely and find grip. Or for starting on slippery surfaces (gravel or wet grass): the TSC cuts power as soon as it senses slipping, whereas a bit of slipping is needed to start in this situation: if you fit the space saver wheel, the TSC goes haywire: it’s better to disable it.
