Modification to the Heating System for Models Built Before 2008

Model: Nissan Qashqai J10 - Years 2006-2014

The modification involves deriving the water pipe directly from the primary radiator duct. You will need to obtain the kit for the derivation. To avoid draining the radiator, create two pinch points upstream and downstream using spanners and clamps or another tool capable of stopping the flow of liquid. Cut the pipe between the pinch points and insert the derivation, securing it with hose clamps. The pipe to be derived must also be pinched with surgical pliers or a similar tool and cut. The remaining stub must be sealed with a suitable cap. At this point, create the new connection between the newly installed derivation and the removed pipe, and remove the pinch points on the primary pipe.
