Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Model: Nissan Primera MK 3 - Years 2002-2008

The engine air filter is located at the front left of the engine bay (when viewed from the front); to replace it, simply unclip the securing hooks of the cover (one at each corner) and lift it to extract the old filter. Ensure there are no dirt residues in the container, and if present, remove them with a vacuum cleaner (avoid using compressed air, which could push dirt into the intake manifold); finally, fit the new filter and close the cover. If the old filter is dirty with oil, this is a symptom of engine compression loss, indicating a seal issue with the piston rings.
