How to Replace the Timing Chain on a Nissan Frontier?

Model: Nissan Frontier D40 - Years 1997-2021

To replace the timing chain on a Nissan Frontier, open the hood to access the components inside the engine compartment. Loosen the bolts securing the valve cover and the protection panel on the left side of the engine block, and remove both. This will allow you to locate the sprockets and the chain around them. By unscrewing the bolts securing the tensioner, you can remove it. This will reduce the tension on the chain, allowing you to slide it out and replace it with a new one.
