How to Replace the Boot Gas Struts on a Nissan Qashqai

To replace the boot gas struts on a Nissan Qashqai, open the boot, insert a small screwdriver into the slot at the top of the strut and release the clip; once the clip is released, remove the top part of the strut while holding the boot up with a stick, then remove the bottom part of the strut and clean the mounting points. Once the mounting points are clean, apply grease to the top hole of the strut and attach it to the boot catch, then lift the boot and attach it to the one on the car's pillar. Perform the same operation on the other side and check the correct operation of the struts.
