How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorbers on the Nissan Qashqai

Today we will explain how to replace the rear shock absorbers on the Nissan Qashqai model 2. To change the rear shock absorbers, it is necessary to lift the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheels. To facilitate the removal of the components, spray some penetrating oil and clean the surface with a wire brush. Using an 18 mm spanner, unscrew the lower shock absorber fixing nut; with a socket wrench with an 18 mm insert, unscrew the upper shock absorber nut. Press vertically on the shock absorber to release it. Insert the shock absorber and screw in the upper bolt, mount the lower washer and screw in the nut. Before completing the operation, position the vehicle as if it were on the ground to screw in the last nut. Perform the same steps for replacing the left rear shock absorber. Once both shock absorbers have been replaced, lower the vehicle and mount the wheels.
