How to remove and replace the front shock absorber on a Nissan Qashqai? Lift the bonnet and secure it; use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing bolts of the shock absorber, lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the securing bolts of the shock absorber at the wheel hub using a socket spanner (disconnect the brake circuit pipes with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for reassembly. Install the new shock absorber on the vehicle in reverse order.
