To replace the tailgate handle on a Nissan Qashqai, use a tool to pry off the panel located above the number plate: this must be completely removed by unscrewing the fixing screws. Once this panel is detached, you can open the tailgate and unscrew the screws that secure the panel inside: this way, the handle mechanism can be completely detached from the inside and replaced with a new one. After the replacement, reassemble all the removed parts.
