How to Replace Glow Plugs on a Nissan X-Trail

In this video tutorial, you will see how to replace the glow plugs on a Nissan X-Trail. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop rod; remove the parts to access the glow plugs. Diesel engine glow plugs do not need to be replaced after a certain mileage, as they serve their purpose for a limited time, only during engine start-up, preheating the combustion chamber. If the glow plugs are not functioning properly in low temperatures, the car may struggle to start, and the battery will quickly drain. By conducting a test, you will see that the new glow plugs become incandescent immediately (this test should be done to avoid installing a faulty glow plug). Spray a bit of penetrating fluid on the glow plugs before unscrewing them to clean the threads of carbon deposits. To screw in the glow plugs, use a torque wrench.
