How to Replace the Fuel Filter on a Nissan Micra K13

This guide shows how to replace the fuel filter on the Nissan Micra K13; this operation can also be applied to the Renault Pulse. The first step is to open the bonnet and disconnect the battery. Remove the battery securing block and take it out. Remove the three securing bolts of the ECU, two at the base and one at the rear. Remove the battery tray securing bolts and take it out for more working space. Remove the securing bolts of the filter and disconnect the fuel lines. Pull out the old cartridge and disconnect the electrical connector at the bottom. Fit this connector onto the new cartridge and refit it in position. Before installing the fuel lines, if you have a manual pump, fill the fuel filter. Reassemble everything in position and start the engine to check the correct installation.
