DIY Oil Level Measuring Stick for Nissan Rogue

It may seem strange, but the Nissan Rogue does not have an oil dipstick. It only has a compartment similar to where the dipstick would be, but the dipstick is missing. You can make one yourself using a 2 mm diameter aluminum welding rod. It needs to be quite long, as shown in the video, and should be secured to the cap with copper wires and a bit of two-part epoxy. You will need to test to check the oil level, which should be measured when hot, to flatten the stick and mark the minimum and maximum levels. This way, you can check the condition of your oil.
