Nissan Qashqai - Video tutorial
Model: Nissan Qashqai
J10
- Years 2006-2014 The timing belt is one of the most critical elements of an engine since its failure could cause serious damage to the engine: the belt is in fact associated with the synchronism (i.e. the timing) between the movement of the pistons and that of opening and closure of the valves, therefore a sudden failure of the toothed belt would generate the loss of this synchronism with the consequent collision between pistons and valves and therefore all related damage. The replacement of the timing belt is therefore absolutely a maintenance not to be neglected (even if among the most expensive) and must therefore be carried out according to the maintenance plan provided by the manufacturer: in this regard, the innovation of construction technologies and the quality of new materials have made it possible to extend this maintenance interval which requires the replacement of the belt to 120,000 km or in any case within 5 years. On the new 1.6 engine the interval has been further extended to 16,000 km or 6 years. The Achilles heel of the 1.5 engine still remains the bushings that it is advisable to have them replaced at the same time on the occasion of the first distribution.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
