How to Remove the Airbag and Steering Wheel from a Nissan Micra

Model: Nissan Micra K13 - Years 2010-2017

To remove the airbag (and then the steering wheel) from a Nissan Micra, you will need two thin screwdrivers. Use them to insert into the slots on the lower sides of the steering wheel, both on the right and left. Insert the two screwdrivers simultaneously and press firmly. By doing this, the airbag module will lift from its housing, allowing you to gently remove it by pulling it towards you. Carefully remove the clip from the yellow connector and then disconnect the yellow connector from its socket. The airbag module is now free. Next, remove the steering wheel. Disconnect the electrical connector from the socket. Using a 19mm socket spanner, unscrew the bolt securing the steering wheel to the column. Job done.
