How to Replace the Remote Battery of a Nissan Micra

If pressing the buttons on the remote does not activate the locks, the first thing to check is the battery of the key itself (model CR 1620). To replace it, start by unscrewing the screw located at the back of the casing, at the base of the metal key (commonly referred to as the blade). Once the screw is removed, use the designated slot in the key fob to pry apart the two halves. The battery is housed in the rear casing, which displays the manufacturer's logo. Remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the correct polarity.
