How to replace the air filter on the Opel Zafira B

Model: Vauxhall Zafira Zafira B, A05, MK 2 - Years 2005-2011

On the Opel Zafira-B, the air filter replacement is performed by accessing the airbox in the engine compartment. With the vehicle turned off and cold, access to the box cover is cleared, the specified screws/clips are loosened, and the cover is lifted just enough to remove the worn filter. Before inserting the replacement, the inside of the airbox is cleaned (without leaving any residue) and the orientation of the new filter element is checked, placing it in position without bending the edges. The cover is then closed, ensuring the proper seating of the perimeter gasket, and the screws or clips are tightened evenly. Finally, it is checked that there are no interferences with the hoses and that the air intake is restored. Upon the first start, the engine speed may stabilize after a few seconds: this is normal following the intervention.
