To perform this simple operation, you need a flathead screwdriver and to purchase a CR 2032 3-volt battery from an auto parts store or online. Lift the metal key and insert the screwdriver into the slot to open the key fob cover. Remove the old battery and insert the new one. Close the key fob cover and test the key's functionality by standing in front of the vehicle and pressing the lock and unlock buttons.
