Fitting an ESP Disable Switch on an Opel Corsa D

This guide explains how to fit a switch to manually disable the ESP on an Opel Corsa D, using an unused switch location. Not all BCM modules support this function, and you must consider whether to forgo the use of already assigned buttons. Remove the centre console and dismantle the BCM module located underneath. Access the pin series on the back of the BCM; the electrical connections of the two main wires are PIN 11 (centre console) and PIN 28 (BCM grey connector) to obtain the ESP disable signal. Then, connect PIN 12 of the centre console to PIN 13 (BCM connector X13) to obtain the signal for the LED on the button (to indicate that the ESP is disabled). You must then activate the software using a diagnostic tool: enter the BCM module, select "programming/coding variant": enter the vehicle PIN (found on the ECU label or the identification label on the door pillar) and set the "TC/ESP switch" option from "not present" to "present" and execute the programming. Upon ignition, no ESP warning light should be on. Pressing the button will illuminate the dashboard light and the LED on the switch: ESP disabled. The button can be mounted in place of "Eco", "LPG", or "parktronic" (if not needed).
