How to remove the EGR valve from an Opel Astra? Lift the bonnet and secure it. Then, using a screwdriver, unscrew the locking pins of the ventilation pipe and remove the engine soundproofing panel. Start unscrewing the EGR valve's fastening pins as shown in the video (if you encounter issues: lift the car with a jack and proceed to remove the part from underneath). Once the part is detached from its seat, unscrew the screws using a screwdriver. Clean the valve with a suitable mechanical parts cleaner, using a brush to assist with the process. Refit everything after cleaning.
