Replace Key Battery on Opel Astra

Is the cover of your Opel Astra key damaged? Here's how to change it. Take your remote key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two parts of the plastic key cover. Pry until the cover opens. Remove the plastic cap, and separate the two covers by hand. Extract the worn battery using a screwdriver, along with the metal key and the circuit board. Take the new cover and insert: the metal key, the circuit board, and the battery (same size and voltage). Refit the cover onto your remote by pressing down until you hear it click into place. Check the remote key functions correctly after reassembly.
