Replacing the Key Battery in the Opel Astra

Is the battery in your Opel Astra key flat? Here’s how to change it from the remote. Take your remote and, using a screwdriver, separate the key from the cover. Pry between the two until the two pieces come apart. Open the two parts of the cover, remove the worn battery with a screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the key remote cover parts until you hear the locking click. Reattach the metal key to the remote body. Test the key functions by pressing the buttons to open and close the doors of the Opel Astra.
