How to Replace the ECU on an Opel Meriva

Model: Vauxhall Meriva Meriva A, MK 1 - Years 2003-2010

Before starting, open the bonnet of your Opel Meriva and disconnect the battery to work safely. The ECU is located on the right side of the cylinder head. Start by disconnecting the two main connectors attached to the ECU. Once these connectors are disconnected, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the ECU to the engine. This will allow you to remove the ECU, completing the disassembly. To fit the new ECU, simply reverse these steps, and you will have completed the replacement.
