Before we can begin, we will have to go to open the front hood of our Opel Meriva, and then disconnect the battery, so that we can work without any danger. The control unit is positioned on the right side of the head. So let's start by going to disconnect the two main plugs connected to the control unit. Once we have disconnected these pins, we will have to unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the control unit to the engine. By doing so, we will be able to remove the control unit, and we will have finished the disassembly. To mount the new control unit we will simply have to re-perform these steps in reverse, and we will have finished the replacement.
