Replacing Engine Oil and Oil Filter on an Opel Astra H

In this short video, we will see how to perform routine maintenance by replacing the engine oil and oil filter on an Opel Astra H with a 1.7 CDTI engine. First, lift the vehicle and remove the oil drain bolt located under the engine using a socket spanner; let it drain into a container for about ten minutes. At this point, open the bonnet and unscrew the screw of the oil filter cover to remove it; pay particular attention to the installation of the new filter gasket, then pour in the new oil!
