Replacing the Battery on Opel Astra

With the engine off and the handbrake engaged, lift the bonnet and secure it. Removing and then replacing the battery on an Opel Astra J (as well as many similar vehicles of the same brand) is very straightforward, and we will demonstrate it now. It is held in place by an upper bracket: unscrew the two bolts and remove it. Unscrew and then disconnect the two terminals, starting with the negative terminal and only then moving to the positive for electrical safety reasons. Remove the battery from its location, insert the new one you have purchased, and reverse the process for reassembly.
