How to Replace the Ignition Barrel on an Opel Meriva?

To replace the ignition barrel on an Opel Meriva, loosen the bolts located at the back of the steering wheel to remove the front airbag. Once the airbag is removed, you will need to loosen the nut that secures the steering shaft to completely remove the steering wheel. The next parts to remove are the plastic covers on the upper and lower parts of the steering column; removing these will also allow you to detach the light and wiper stalks. At this point, by loosening the relevant bolts, you can remove the ignition barrel and replace it with a new spare part.
