How to replace the gear knob on an Opel Astra J?

To replace the gear knob on an Opel Astra J, start by removing the inner panels of the glove compartment located directly above the gear lever. Once the panels are removed, lift the plastic cover that surrounds the gear lever from the inside, to which the gaiter and knob are attached. By unscrewing the knob, you can remove the three parts from the lever and replace them with new spare parts. The new knob should be positioned over the lever, securing the cover at the base of the gaiter within its housing.
