Let’s briefly go through the steps necessary to remove and replace the gear knob and gaiter on the Opel Astra, following the instructions below. First, get inside the vehicle and start by unfastening and removing the gear gaiter, prying up the sides with something thin; then pull firmly upwards on the gear knob to remove it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, separate the gaiter from the knob, replacing it with the new one; install everything back onto the gear lever, following the video tutorial to the end!
