How to Dismantle an Opel Key and Replace the Battery

Model: Vauxhall Zafira Zafira C, MK 3 - Years 2011-2019

Removing and replacing the battery in an Opel key is really straightforward, and now you will see how to do it. You will only need a small flat screwdriver (instead of a knife as shown in the video) to pry in the side slot of the key casing. This will allow you to remove the cover of the key and access the CR2032 3 Volt battery. Extract it using the small flat screwdriver again. Insert the new battery and close the cover by simply pressing it down with your hand. Check that the key is functioning correctly.
