To replace the battery in an Opel Astra J, you will need to follow a few simple steps shown in this video. Start by unscrewing the negative terminal of the battery with a 10mm socket. Next, you will need to unscrew and remove the central block that holds the battery in place. At this point, you can remove the positive terminal. Now, you will need to unscrew the last support that holds the plastic panel, as shown at 1:50. Once done, use a flathead screwdriver to pry the panel off, allowing you to extract the battery for replacement with the new one. Finally, reinsert the panel by screwing the appropriate screw back in; then reinsert the central block and reconnect the terminals, starting with the positive one.
