In this tutorial, see how to dismantle the remote for an Opel Astra J, useful if you need to replace the cover, internal circuit, or any of the buttons. All you need is a long, narrow pair of pliers as shown in the video.

Insert the tip into the indicated slot between the emergency key and the battery cover, and unlock the two halves of the remote by levering. Once unlocked, open it completely, taking care not to cause damage.

Finally, extract the internal circuit or replace the damaged component as needed.
