Removing the Seatbelt Pretensioner

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

The pretensioner is a device that activates in the event of a collision, pulling and locking the seatbelt to securely anchor the driver and/or passenger. You may notice that in the seatbelt buckle housing, there is a kind of rubber bellows that serves to retract and lock the seatbelt. To remove the pretensioner, disconnect the connector located just under the seat, remove the side plastic covers, and unscrew the fixing pin of the corresponding bracket (removing the seat makes this operation easier).
