If you have noticed the engine warning light coming on in your vehicle, to reset it, you can follow the classic method that involves using an OBD system connected to the vehicle's diagnostic port, which allows you to clear the error. Alternatively, you can use another method that does not require the OBD. Here’s how to proceed: the first thing to do is open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, leaving it disconnected for at least 20 minutes. Then reconnect the terminal and turn the ignition back on, and the light will have turned off. The only additional task will be to reprogram the date and time because disconnecting the battery will have reset them.

How to Reset the Central Locking of the Volkswagen Golf 4?

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel. Under this panel, you will find the fuses, including the one for the central locking, which is indicated in the manual as number 14. To reset the system, remove this fuse from its housing, then reinsert it or replace it with a new one of the same amperage: this will reset the central locking system.
