In order to replace the camshaft oil seal it is necessary to remove the toothed pulley and therefore the timing belt: when replacing this oil seal, consider whether to replace the timing kit as well; once the toothed belt and the pulley applied to the camshaft have been removed, extract the old oil seal and carefully clean its seat; lubricate both the new oil seal and the seat itself with clean oil and insert it with the lip facing inwards, pressing it to the end of its stroke with the special pad; install the toothed pulley, align the timing marks and install the timing belt.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
