Replacing the Rocker Cover Gasket

The perfect sealing of the rocker cover gasket, which covers the camshaft that controls the intake and exhaust valves, is absolutely essential: any leaks can alter the oil level in the engine, cause soiling of the engine block, and at the same time, contact with very hot elements can cause burns and unpleasant odours. The application of the new gasket first requires proper cleaning of the gasket seat; then, place the gasket under the cover and apply gasket sealant in the areas where the camshaft support zones are located; then position the cover and tighten the corresponding fastening bolts.
