Replacing the Rocker Cover Gasket

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

After thoroughly cleaning the gasket seat, both under the cover and on the cylinder head, insert the new gasket into the designated groove along the edges of the cover; then position the cover on the cylinder head without applying gasket sealant (however, if the surface has imperfections, applying sealant may be useful) and tighten the fastening bolts, ensuring that the gasket adheres perfectly without protruding from the edges. The new gasket will prevent those annoying oil leaks that dirty the entire engine and cause unpleasant odours.
