In an Opel Astra, it can happen that the fuel flap gets stuck, for example, due to a fault in the internal mechanism or the control inside the cabin. In these cases, you can perform an emergency opening by following the procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the boot, then remove the panel on the right side of the compartment. At this point, locate the opening mechanism identifiable by its white colour, grasp it, and pull it towards the rear of the car. The flap will now be open, allowing you to refuel and repair the damaged component.
