Equipping your car with an LPG fuel system certainly has numerous advantages in terms of fuel consumption, but you must also consider the potential maintenance costs these systems require, in addition to the regular maintenance of the vehicle. One of the most common issues is clogging or failure of the injectors: fortunately, the cost of the entire rail is not excessive. If the injectors malfunction, you can either replace them or try to clean them; replacement is straightforward: disconnect the battery, the injector connectors, and unscrew the mounting pins of the front flange to remove the old injectors and insert the new ones. If you wish to attempt cleaning, mark the position of the injectors before removing them and immerse them in petrol, powering them intermittently to open and close them without overheating; maintenance also includes replacing the filters.
