How to Replace the Timing Chain on an Opel Astra?

To replace the timing chain on an Opel Astra, you must completely remove the engine block from its housing. To do this, loosen all the bolts securing the engine to its mounts and disconnect all pipes and connectors. Once the engine block is removed, detach the cover on the left side where the timing chain is located. You can remove the chain by loosening the bolts that secure the tensioner, allowing you to insert the new one.
