How to replace the timing belt on the Opel Astra?

To replace the timing belt on the Opel Astra, open the bonnet and then loosen the bolts securing the air filter box, located on the left side of the engine block. This will allow you to unscrew the bolts that secure the cover on the left side of the engine block, under which the belt and its pulleys are located: by loosening the nut on the tensioner pulley, you can reduce the tension and remove it from its housing. Then, insert the new belt, aligning the engine timing and reassembling all previously removed components.
