In this video, we will see how to change the antenna base on an Opel Astra or Zafira. To change it, you will need to remove it from underneath by accessing it through the seal on the tailgate.

Next, detach the rear lining of the vehicle to reach the area where you can disconnect the antenna and its cables. You will only need to remove a small washer.

You can find the replacement part, for example, on neryuscarparts.com with the code 20221125-000088 for £30.99 (base + antenna), including delivery. Before fitting the new part, it is a good idea to clean the area to ensure a clean base for reassembly.

Finally, reconnect the cable to the electrical connector and tighten the securing washer. Now, you can refit the lining you removed and the tailgate seal.

Job done.
