In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the key fob shell of an Opel Astra, a very simple and quick operation. First, extend the emergency metal key by pressing the appropriate button.

Then, lever off the newly exposed edge, remove the rear cover, and extract the old battery. Next, separate the two halves of the fob, retrieve both the circuit board and the emergency key, and transfer everything into the replacement shell.

To reassemble the components, simply follow the reverse procedure.
