Below are the steps that will allow you to remove and replace the gear knob on the automatic gear shift of an Opel Insignia. First, get inside the vehicle and carefully detach and remove the cover of the gear shift boot from the base.

Then, disconnect the clip located between the knob and the boot, as shown in the video. At this point, pull firmly upwards on the gear knob to remove it from the lever; replace it with the new one and reassemble both the knob and the gear shift boot, following the video tutorial to the end!
