Replace the oil filter and oil on the Opel Vivaro with a diesel engine as a DIY task. Follow these steps: First, open the oil filler cap to allow the oil to drain. Second, pour the pre-drain fluid into the reservoir. Third, lift the vehicle with a jack and use a spanner to remove the plastic cover from the oil sump. Fourth, extract the filter from its housing using a 27 mm spanner. Fifth, insert the new filter. Sixth, close the sump plug and refit the cover. Seventh, open the filler cap and add approximately 6 litres of new oil.
