How to Install a Dab Radio Adapter on an Opel Astra Without Changing the Radio

In this video, you will see how to install the uDab adapter for receiving Dab radio stations on an original Opel radio, without changing it but simply adapting it. The kit is available on automotiv.paser.it and costs £342.94. For the installation, first disconnect the vehicle's battery, remove the radio fascia with a plastic spatula, then take out the radio unit and identify the power connectors for the speakers.

Next, connect the "T" wiring to the USB COME and USB REC adapters in the appropriate connectors.

Apply the DAB antenna to the windscreen. Then connect the "T" wiring and adapters to the appropriate connectors, and the DAB antenna to the FMB socket.

Refit the radio in place and find a convenient spot for the service button. You can reconnect the battery.

Now you need to configure the system: select the USB source, where the reception of the first available DAB station will start, and in the folder section, you will find the names of the various stations. In the "system" folder, you will find settings such as the firmware version of the installed software, scanning for available stations, and managing fast, media, and slow switches.
