What to do if the engine light comes on in a Peugeot 107

In this video we can see a Peugeot 107 with the engine light on; a diagnosis is not necessary, but there are power gaps and difficulties in the engine revving up, the problem is in the ignition system of some cylinder. We will remove the air filter box accessing the coils, each with its own electronics; the faulty one will surely be one of these that has burned out. An empirical method is to connect them one by one, leaving the other two connected. When we do this test, we put the air filter back in place, to avoid sucking something into the engine. Once the faulty one is identified, we remove it. The diagnostic system with the tester is then illustrated. At this point, the spark plugs are also changed, but the work must be done with a cold engine, or we will ruin the threads. For reassembly, a clever system is suggested to not lose the tool that holds the spark plug for reassembly. We then put the air filter back in place. To reset the error, on this car it is sufficient to disconnect the negative pole for at least 15 minutes, and then reconnect it. (keep the radio code handy).
